EDITORIAL GOVERNANCE
Editorial Standards & Corrections
The standards applied across M.E. Standard coverage
Primary sources first
ME Standard prioritises official and primary-source material wherever practical. Source URLs, publication timing and provenance are retained so readers can distinguish the underlying evidence from editorial interpretation.
Attribution and verification
Material claims should be traceable to an identified source. When information is provisional, revised, incomplete or not independently verified, that limitation should remain visible rather than being presented as settled fact.
Trading performance claims
Headline returns, win rates and P&L claims are incomplete without risk and process context. Where M.E. Standard covers trader, educator, strategy or system performance, the coverage should identify the measurement period and available context such as drawdown, leverage, sample size, losses, risk method and whether results are live, backtested, independently verified or self-reported. Self-reported marketing material is attributed as such and is not presented as independently established fact.
Probability and promotional language
M.E. Standard does not use unsupported “high probability”, guaranteed-outcome or personality-led proof language. Quantified probabilities require a documented methodology and supporting evidence. Reputation, follower count, screenshots or promotional status do not substitute for evidence.
Observation is not causation
Expected market sensitivity, historical relationships and observed price reactions are separate evidence classes. Co-movement is not presented as proof that one event caused a market move unless the available evidence supports that conclusion.
Unavailable data stays unavailable
Licensed market, calendar, earnings or chart data is not replaced with invented values when a provider is unavailable or not configured. The newsroom should display an explicit unavailable or degraded state instead.
Corrections and revisions
Material corrections preserve the publication record rather than silently changing history. Where a release is corrected, revised, superseded or materially clarified, the relevant source and timing context should remain recoverable. Minor typographical or formatting corrections that do not alter meaning may be fixed without a separate correction notice.
See the Corrections Policy for the correction record, source-revision treatment and request process. Requests can be submitted through the public channels listed on the Contact page.
Commercial separation
Commercial relationships and endorsed products do not determine newsroom coverage, source ranking or factual conclusions. ME Standard may endorse specialist tools, including TradeXMechanic (TXM) toolkits, while keeping those products separate from editorial judgement.
Financial information
ME Standard publishes information and context, not personalised financial advice, trade signals or guaranteed outcomes. Readers remain responsible for independent assessment and risk decisions.
