EDITORIAL GOVERNANCE
Editorial Standards & Corrections
Version 1 · September 2026
Primary sources first
ME Standard prioritises official and primary-source material where practical. Source URLs, publication timing and provenance are preserved in the structured newsroom record so readers and downstream systems can distinguish evidence from editorial interpretation.
Observation is not causation
Expected market sensitivity, historical relationships and observed price reactions are separate evidence classes. Co-movement is not presented as proof that one event caused a market move unless the available evidence supports that conclusion.
Unavailable data stays unavailable
Licensed market, calendar, earnings or chart data is not replaced with invented values when a provider is unavailable or not configured. The newsroom should display an explicit unavailable or degraded state instead.
Corrections and revisions
Material corrections should preserve the prior publication lineage rather than silently overwrite history. Where a release is corrected, revised, superseded or materially clarified, the newsroom record should retain the revision state, source provenance and timing needed to reconstruct what changed. Minor typographical or formatting corrections that do not alter meaning may be fixed without a separate correction notice.
To request a correction, use Contact & Corrections and provide the page URL, the exact statement or field in question, why it should be corrected and, where possible, supporting primary-source evidence.
Commercial separation
ME Standard's editorial newsroom remains distinct from TXM tools and commerce. Commercial products must not determine the newsroom's factual conclusions, source ranking or presentation of observed market evidence.
Financial information
ME Standard publishes information and context, not personalised financial advice or guaranteed outcomes. Readers remain responsible for independent assessment and risk decisions.
