Public newsroom

The public M.E. Standard newsroom does not require an account. My Markets, Personal Market Desk preferences, reviewed/dismissed/snoozed items, followed drivers and sources, saved desk views, themes and return-visit state are stored locally in the visitor's browser by default.

Where authenticated account sync is available, Personal Market Desk records are designed to be scoped to the signed-in account and protected by ownership controls. Account sync is not silently enabled for anonymous visitors. Users can reset local desk state from the Personal Market Desk controls.

FXSCC interest registration

If you choose to register interest in the FX Series Championship Cup (FXSCC), M.E. Standard may collect the email address you provide, an optional first name, the page or campaign that referred the registration, and a consent timestamp/version. This information is used only for the FXSCC launch, qualification-pathway and participant updates you explicitly requested.

FXSCC interest is optional and is not a competition entry, payment or eligibility decision. Consent is not pre-selected. Any outbound FXSCC campaign email must identify the sender and provide a functional unsubscribe route.

Audience measurement

M.E. Standard uses first-party Vercel Web Analytics on public reader pages to measure aggregate page views, routes and usage patterns so the publication can evaluate reader habit and product performance. This measurement is used for publication-quality and audience-retention analysis rather than cross-site advertising profiling, and M.E. Standard does not configure it to collect names, email addresses, payment details or trading-account credentials.

Operator surfaces, noindex pages and endorsed TXM product pages are excluded from this reader-audience measurement.

Technical logs

Hosting, security and network providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps and requested pages to deliver, monitor and protect the website.

Endorsed TXM purchases

Where an endorsed TradeXMechanic (TXM) purchase is completed through a linked checkout, payment processing is handled by the payment provider used by TXM. Payment-card details are not intended to be stored by M.E. Standard. Transaction and entitlement records are handled according to the applicable product and payment-provider terms.

Data minimisation

Information should be limited to what is needed to provide the relevant site function, fulfil a requested product or service, resolve support issues, maintain records and meet applicable legal obligations. It should not be reused for unrelated advertising profiling without an appropriate basis and notice.

Third parties

M.E. Standard may use hosting, market-data, payment, communications and security providers. Each provider may process information under its own terms and privacy obligations. Material analytics, advertising or account-processing changes should be documented before they affect readers.

Security and retention

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Server-side secrets are kept out of browser code, sensitive fulfilment actions rely on verified server-side events, and retained information should be limited to what is operationally or legally required.
